3D mammography in Casablanca

Tomosynthesis is an evolution of conventional mammography. It reconstructs the breast in thin slices, reducing tissue overlap and improving the detection of lesions.

Avoid deodorant, creams and powders on the day of the exam. Preferably in the first half of your cycle, when the breasts are less sensitive. Bring your previous mammograms.

Unlike 2D mammography, which produces a flat image, tomosynthesis captures several images from different angles to create a three-dimensional view of the breast.

The breast is briefly compressed between two plates, as in conventional mammography. The machine takes several images in a few seconds. The exam is performed by a qualified female radiographer.

Compression can cause brief discomfort, but it is necessary to obtain good-quality images. It lasts only a few seconds per image.
